M. Laurent Bili, Ambassadeur de France en Chine, a visité le campus de Yangpu du Lycée Français de Shanghai

Vendredi 6 décembre 2019, l’Ambassadeur de France en Chine, M. Laurent Bili, a visité l’Eurocampus de Yangpu, en compagnie du Consul Général de France à Shanghai, M. Benoît Guidée, et de l’attaché de coopération universitaire, M. Fabien Chareix.

Il a été accueilli par les membres du Conseil d’Administration, de la direction pédagogique et administrative du lycée français de Shanghai.

Le Président du conseil d’administration du LFS, M. Philippe Snel, a décrit un lycée au service des élèves, des parents et de la communauté. Il a rappelé que le LFS réunissait des élèves de 47 nationalités et souhaitait approfondir son internationalisation, sa mixité culturelle et son ouverture à toutes les communautés.

Le chef d’établissement du Lycée français de Shanghai, Mme Anne-Sophie Gouix, a présenté le nouvel Eurocampus de Yangpu, partagé avec la Deutsche Schule Shanghai (DSS), rappelé les valeurs européennes fortes au cœur de ce projet d’excellence et évoqué le projet pédagogique de l’établissement. Elle a souligné la dimension centrale de l’apprentissage des langues au LFS, avec une offre de sections linguistiques en anglais et en chinois adaptée à tous. Elle a également rappelé la force du réseau AEFE, qui assure une continuité des parcours d’études au sein de 522 établissements scolaires, implantés dans 139 pays.

L’Ambassadeur a constaté la forte implication des équipes du LFS et leur contribution au développement d’une école internationale d’excellence. Il a vanté la qualité des infrastructures du nouveau campus, qui accueille 515 élèves et vise une capacité maximale de 1000 élèves. Les échanges ont porté ensuite sur les axes de développement et les perspectives de l’établissement : internationalisation, attractivité auprès des nouveaux publics, transition numérique, promotion du réseau AEFE, réforme du Baccalauréat.

La délégation a pu ensuite échanger avec les élèves de la maternelle et du collège dans leurs classes respectives, visiter le centre de documentation de 800 m² et les laboratoires, avant de découvrir les infrastructures sportives (le centre sportif de 7 000 m², les 4 terrains de basket, le stade de football et la piste d’athlétisme de 400 m).

Impressionné par la taille de l’Eurocampus et de son implantation au cœur d’un district innovant, l’Ambassadeur a réitéré le plein soutien de l’Ambassade de France en Chine et du Consulat général de France à Shanghai au développement d’un projet d’établissement innovant et contribuant au rayonnement de la France à Shanghai.

She highlighted the central dimension of language learning, with language streams, both in English and Chinese, adapted to every student. She also recalled the strength of the AEFE network, which ensures a continuous journey of education between 522 schools in 139 countries.

Mr Bili stressed the strong involvement of the teams and their contribution to the development of an international school of excellence. He praised the quality of the infrastructures of the new campus, which welcomes today 515 students and targets a maximum capacity of 1000 students. The discussions focused on the areas of development and prospects of the institution : internationalization, attractiveness, digital transition, promotion of the AEFE network, reform of the Baccalauréat.

The delegation was then able to meet and exchange with kindergarten and high school students in their classes, visit the 800 m² library and the laboratories, before exploring the brand new sports facilities (the 7,000 m² sports center, the 4 basketball courts, the football stadium and the 400m athletic track) which will open in January.

Impressed by the size of the Eurocampus and its location in the heart of an innovative district, the Ambassador of France in China reiterated the full support of the French Embassy in China and the Consulate General of France in Shanghai to the development of innovative project that contributes to the influence of France in China.
