Le défi Namazu permet aux élèves de suivre la mission InSight, une mission d’exploration consacrée à la structure interne de la planète Mars, notamment via un sismographe, à travers d’enquêtes sur les données, mais aussi à travers des expériences à réaliser à l’école.
Dans la mythologie japonaise, Namazu est un poisson chat gigantesque qui crée les tremblements de terre. Cette compétition ludique entre établissements permet aux étudiants de se familiariser avec la sismologie. Malgré le confinement, le défi Namazu a pu se dérouler dans de nombreuses écoles autour du monde, et notamment le Lycée français de Shanghai, qui a gagné le premier prix !
Un grand bravo à tous les élèves, très investis dans le défi et la mission InSight. Le défi namazu est déjà plébiscité pour une nouvelle saison. Rendez-vous à la rentrée scolaire 2020, avec encore plus de participants.

Challenge met for the LFS: Insight mission and Namazu challenge
The Namazu Contest allows students to keep in touch with the InSight mission, an exploration mission devoted to the internal structure of the planet Mars, in particular via a seismograph, through data surveys and school experiments.
In the Japanese mythology, Namazu is a giant catfish who causes earthquakes. This playful competition between establishments allows students to familiarize themselves with seismology. Despite the confinement, the Namazu Contest was able to run in numerous schools around the world, and in particular the Lycée français de Shanghai, which won the first prize!
Congratulations to all the students, who are very involved in the contest and interested by the InSight mission. The Namazu contest is already in demand for another season. See you at the start of the 2020 school year, with even more participants.
