Infos China trip - 2020/2021

Guidelines for traveling to China

We introduce below the instructions given to us by the Shanghai authorities regarding travel and the conditions under which return to Shanghai and school may be authorized.

You will find below a summary table of these instructions based on the level of risk of the regions visited. This is based on the WeChat 国务院客户端mini-program.

Note that “abroad” is considered a high-risk area without distinction of countries.

The Shanghai Municipal Education Commission has just informed us that due to the epidemic situation and the risk of new outbreaks, it is highly recommended that the members of our community do not leave Shanghai, and in particular during the Chinese New Year holidays.

Risk areas

You will find at the following link the level of risk of the regions of China updated every Monday before noon.

Please take note of the conditions of access to our campuses depending on the areas of China you are returning from.

Please note that the Chinese authorities are very precise on the concept of passage through a high or medium risk area, namely:

  • Any passage by car through a high or medium risk area must be considered,
  • Any passage by train through a high or medium risk area should be considered if the train stops in the area and people are getting on and off. If the train journey passes through a high or medium risk area but the train does not stop, then, this is not considered.
