Instructions relative to travels

Infos China trip - 2021/2022

Guidelines regarding travelling and
the conditions of return on our campuses

We introduce below the instructions given to us by the Shanghai authorities regarding travel and the conditions under which return to Shanghai and school may be authorized.

You will find below a summary table of these instructions based on the level of risk of the regions visited. (see below the links to the list of risk zones in China)
Note that “abroad” is considered a high-risk area without distinction of countries.

Back-to-school: The 14-day self-health management period in Shanghai before getting access to campuses is no longer a mandatory requirement but remains highly recommended.

Also, if you are in Shanghai now or if you will arrive soon, we ask you not to leave Shanghai before the start of the school year.

In addition, we remind you that any travel outside Shanghai must be informed on Eduka (https://lfs.eduka.school/workflow/main)

Two negative PCR test results, carried out in Shanghai in a 3-days period before the back-to-school (including one 24 hours before accessing to the campus) will be necessary to access the campus and must be uploaded on Eduka. Two test results will also be required for any person accessing to the campuses after the back-to-school. We will inform you later of the procedures for submitting the test results, that can be carried-out in a boot or an hospital.

Risk areas

For the complete list of risk areas, please visit the following site here.

Please take note of the conditions of access to our campuses depending on the areas of China you are returning from.

Please note that the Chinese authorities are very precise on the concept of passage through a high or medium risk area, namely:

  • Any passage by car through a high or medium risk area must be considered,
  • Any passage by train through a high or medium risk area should be considered if the train stops in the area and people are getting on and off. If the train journey passes through a high or medium risk area but the train does not stop, then, this is not considered

The above requirements are for students and teachers, and school staff to return to school campus. If the requirements for quarantine or nucleic acid test are higher than CDC’s mandatory requirements for that people, they should be considered as self-home health observation and proactive nucleic acid test requirements that should be conducted prior to returning to school.
